Reticulated Bowl with Pink Cabbage Roses Retsch Porcelain Co. Circa 1907 Edwardian Period Antique #edwardianperiod

Reticulated Bowl Pink Cabbage Roses Retsch Porcelain Co. Ca.1907 Edwardian Period Antique

This oval fruit bowl has delicate openwork and embossed sides. Decorating the interior of the bowl is a grouping of pink cabbage roses, leaves, and stems. There is gold trim on the porcelain 'ribs', the two handles, and the rim (slightly worn on the handles & rim). Marked, "RW" in a shield; the bottom part of the mark is smeared and unreadable. But it is an early Retsch Porcelain Co. mark, and underneath the shield would be, "Bavaria". The Retsch Porcelain factory was founded in 1885 in Wunsiedel, Bavaria (Germany). This bowl dates from about 1907. Length: 12¾ inches (32.5 cm); width: 8½ inches (21.6 cm); 2½ inches (6.4 cm) deep. This dish is in excellent condition, except as noted.
